About Montina Myers-Galloway

Burnout + Leadership Speaker | Mental Health Consultant | Legacy Shifter

I’m Montina Myers-Galloway, licensed therapist, speaker, and consultant on a mission to change how we talk about burnout, boundaries, and well-being—especially in communities that have been expected to carry too much for too long.

As the founder of Myers-Galloway Counseling, I help leaders, caregivers, and organizations take care of their people without burning them out. My work is rooted in nearly a decade of experience guiding individuals and institutions through healing, alignment, and cultural change.

Whether I’m on a stage, in a boardroom, or at a retreat—I create space for honest dialogue, practical tools, and radical permission to care for yourself first.

Organizational Change with Heart + Strategy

I provide keynotes, breakout sessions, and workshops—both virtual and in-person—that blend inspiration, lived experience, and actionable tools. I’ve spoken to audiences of healthcare professionals, corporate leaders, affinity groups, and faith communities across private corporations, universities, associations, and conferences. Let’s create a session that moves your people from burnout to breakthrough.

Signature Talks

Below are four of my most requested presentations. Each can be customized to meet the needs of your event or organization.

  • Best for: Healthcare associations, leadership retreats, caregiving conferences
Formats: Keynote | Workshop | Breakout Session

Burnout isn’t a personal weakness—it’s a leadership crisis. In this session, Montina pulls back the curtain on the real cost of burnout in healthcare and caregiving spaces. Combining storytelling, strategy, and powerful data, she shows how systemic stressors undermine performance, retention, and equity. Participants walk away with actionable tools from The P.O.W.E.R. Blueprint to interrupt burnout culture and lead with sustainability and intention.

  • Best for: Affinity-based events, Black women’s leadership forums, DEI retreats
Formats: Keynote | Panel | Retreat Session

Too often, Black women are celebrated for how much they carry instead of supported for how much they need. This deeply affirming session challenges the cultural norms and unspoken rules that push Black women to sacrifice their health and emotional well-being in the name of resilience. Montina shares a liberating vision for leadership that centers restoration, alignment, and care—because legacy deserves rest, too.

  • Best for: Women’s leadership conferences, corporate trainings, retreats
Formats: Workshop | Keynote | Panel

This is leadership unlearned and redefined. In this honest and experiential talk, Montina helps leaders release unrealistic expectations and replace them with grounded practices rooted in emotional intelligence, capacity awareness, and healthy boundaries. With takeaways from The P.O.W.E.R. Blueprint, participants will rethink how they lead, live, and care for themselves without overperforming or burning out.

  • Best for: Mental health conferences, DEI forums, faith-based events, academic institutions
Formats: Keynote | Workshop | Panel

Parentification and adultification are silent burdens carried by far too many—especially Black children who are forced to grow up too soon. In this eye-opening session, Montina unpacks the emotional, relational, and psychological impact of early caregiving roles and racialized maturity bias.

With clarity and compassion, she walks audiences through the different types of parentification, how adultification bias uniquely impacts Black youth, and a 4-step framework for healing. Participants leave with deeper insight into how early role reversals affect adult identity—and what it takes to interrupt the cycle.

“It was an absolute pleasure to host Montina Myers-Galloway on The Healing Element Podcast. Montina provided her experience on how trauma can affect romantic relationships and the steps one must take to begin the healing process. The topic of trauma and its effects is a complex topic, however, due to Montina’s knowledge and experience she was able to explain this sensitive matter in a way that was helpful and relatable to listeners and viewers.”
